Dynamic meditation - while sitting?!?
The classical meditation position is the lotus or half lotus.
The main reason for sitting (and not lying down, for example) is to keep the body alert and prepared, while the mind dives deep into an expanse of infinite silence. This is perhaps the essence of meditation - complete presence, here and now, while calmly looking inward, without holding on, being involved or actively doing.
The traditional approach to meditation advocates complete stillness of the body as the way to calm the mind, but we now know that slight movement actually helps you breath more fully, relax tired muscles and take the load off your intervertal discs, and so can help the body relax and with it your mind.
FreeChair brings gentle movement to seated meditation.
This is a new and exciting option, a "middle road", between dynamic meditation and sitting meditation. FreeChair meditation chair makes it easier for us to get used to sitting quietly and allows people to move between various dynamic and static situations while meditating.

"A good sitting position in yoga and meditation is reflected in stability and comfort. The sitting base must be wide and rooted. The spinal column grows vertically and upwards from it.
Based on my experience and that of my students, FreeChair meditation chair allows everyone to find the angle that's right for them and prevents typical pressures on the weak points of the hips, pelvis and vertebrae.
The students experienced stable meditative positions over time, pain free, and without feeling pins and needles in their legs.
I would also like to note the styling, finishing and natural materials of the FreeChair, which make it, undoubtedly very friendly for students."

one last word on movement...
Kundalini energy - waking the snake
Kundalini energy is life energy, energy of never-ending love that has the power to heal and purify.
The Sanskrit word, kundalini, means coiled or wound, and it hints at the form of this energy when dormant - wrapped around itself like a spring at the base chakra, ready to open up and stretch in a spiral upwards.
The most common image of kundalini is a sleeping snake, waiting to awaken and crawl up from the base of the spine, to arouse and activate the chakras, one at a time.
Kundalini Yoga teaches us that a repetitive motion between the sitting bones and the tail bone rattles the kundalini snake's nest and arouses it.
Use the Kundalini energy while meditating on a FreeChair and your meditation will take on a new and powerful dimension!
